Tabby and the Werewolf ch10
Now what was he doing? Jared had been distracting me just by being in my classroom. He’d just asked Stacy for a pencil and was writing something on a piece of paper. “It’s important to remember that wording is not as necessary in protection spells as it is for others. Even with just a small amount of natural magic, the intent is the most important part.” I paced in front of the new SMART board we had gotten. “Some spells require special motions or supplies. Many can be made ahead of time but spells are stronger when freshly used.” I glanced at the clock on the back wall of the room, ten minutes. “Ok c

Thank goodness, she didn't question me further because I had no idea what I was doing. I just wanted to be near Tabby, but I couldn't tell her that. Girls had a habit of analyzing everything to death.
"You smell like alcohol." She said.
I pulled my shirt up and sniffed it. I almost passed out. "Sorry, I forgot to change."
I grinned at her, but she didn't notice. She turned off the road and into the school parking lot. I unbuckled as Tabby turned off the car.
"You better not embarrass me."
I turned to look at her, "Me?" I asked in mock surprise, "I would never embarrass you." She snorted, "Yeah, even so don't talk to anyone. Don't leave m

I woke up in a strange bed. But weirdly I wasn't worried. It smelled like Tabby. I looked to my left and right but she wasn't in bed with me, bummer. A groan came from the floor. I rolled to the edge and looked down. Tabitha was sprawled on the rug looking delectable as always. She was rubbing her head. I rolled down on top of her bracing my body on my arms from years of training. She blinked because I was close enough to kiss her. Hmm. I leaned my head towards hers and she jerked back to hit the floor again. She let out a stream of swear words that would make a sailor proud.
"Why are you on the floor Sweetheart?"
"Don't call me sweethear

Dear Laurie,
You dumb, paranoid, bitch.
First off, get my name right, I worked as your PERSONAL ASSISTANT long enough. No one else had trouble with it.
Second, I WOULD NOT steal from you. Granted, you never paid me on time; when you did, there was never any money in your account, and when you took my timesheets home (because "you didn't have your checkbook") and told me that I could drive to your house that night (even though it's out of my way) to pick it up from your mailbox, it was never there.
Third, your salon, SUCKS, the employees are great, the decor very peaceful, the monthly deals are nice; it's you that messes everything up.
Where are you?
What happened?
Why is the sun out, when I am so sad?
White stuff coming down from the skies
Why does it not come?
Where can we make a snowperson?
The Freezer?
It's so warm out
When will it get cold?
How long will it take?
It's December already
I look out my window
I stare at the sky
Why does the snow not come?
Where are you?

Take the cat out of the Sphinx
And what is left? Riddle me that.
Take the horse from the Centaur
And you take away the sleek grace,
The strength of harnessed power.
What is left can still run across fields,
After a fashion but is easily winded;
What is left will therefore erect buildings
To divide the open plains, so he no longer
Must face the wide expanse where once
His equine legs raced the winds
And, sometimes, won.
Take the bull from the Minotaur
But what is left will still assemble
A herd for the sake of ruling over it.
What is left will kill for sport,
In an arena thronged with spectators
Shouting "Ole!" at each deadly
"How are we going to get home?" I asked my best friend, Jackie. "We have $22.00 and some change. We have to get back in five days!! You're right we do have my backpack and in it an atlas, a jar of peanut butter, our water bottle, a canary colored poncho, and both of ours favorite book."
I often talk over Jackie, we've known each other for years and she doesn't mind. Besides I can read every little thing about her.
"We also have my bike although it is almost rusted through." We watched a guy ride by on a bike. "Hey that guy has a bike just like mine. Colored rusty red with blue streamers on the handlebars. What are the odds of that?" As we t

Watched Un monstre à Paris with the family on Sunday. Everyone LOVED it, so good!! New favorite movie. My younger cousin was bouncing in her seat.
A close friend got married on Saturday and I could just feel all the love and caring from the guests. We took a picture 10 years ago and took another one at the wedding since everyone was all together again for the first time.
